Inspector Cloud was founded in 2016 in Moscow by entrepreneurs Pavel Boyko and Alexander Berenov. Inspector Cloud assists in tracking and maintaining the performance of sales representatives and merchandisers at physical retail stores. The built-in neural network analyzes the quality and placement of goods on a store shelf and then uses this data to give recommendations on how to maximize store efficiency. It also automatically calculates the salary of the employee who was responsible for selling a particular product. According to the company, they currently analyze over 30 million images a month. Some of their clients include: PepsiCo, Unilever, Nestle, Schwarzkopf, Henkel, and ice cream distribution company "Clean Line."
According to their data, Inspector Cloud's revenue went up to 33.87 million rubles at the end of 2019. By the end of the first half of 2020, revenue exceeded 37 million rubles. In 2017, Inspector Cloud raised $150,000 from numerous venture capital funds, which included Untitled Ventures. In 2018, the company received a $200,000 angel investment during their seed round. The funds were used to help finalize their product.
